| Another large delay. The weather in Texas was atrocious all weekend, and the internet kept going out. So I finally got around to tearing down that old ruined woodshed out behind our neighbor's house, like I said I would months back. But I'll try to visit IV a little more regularly. Pinkie promise. |

| All right! I'm going in for work now, but I get the next three days off. Let's see if I can finish off the character creation thread and get us all on the road finally. Wish me luck! |

| IT IS FINISHED!!! ...well, finished enough for character creation to begin. Please use the worktable topic for character creation, just so I have all of you in one convenient place. That should help me quickly and easily attend to anyone who needs help with any step of the process. And if you need to consult the character creation topic and the worktable topic at the same time, the easiest way to do that is to pop open a second window with Ctrl+N or the like. How does that sound? |

| No problem. And you're welcome. Sorry if I've been gone again, but Dad and I have been building our new henhouse! It's almost done, which means our little chickens can finally get out of their cage and out of our house. I also got some new chicken wire with a 1" hexagonal weave, since the chickens were able to squeeze through the bigger rectangular weave that I had already staked up. So chickens breaking out of the chicken run and going fugitive shouldn't be a problem anymore. I'll post photos when the henhouse is completed. Ciao for now. |

| 10d6 is ten 6 sided dice. the first number is usually the number of dice, and the number after the "D" is how many sides the dice has. 10d6 is ten 6 sided dice. 8d4 is eight 4 sided dice 15d30 is fifteen 30 sided dice. a d% is to get a percentage. one ten sided die for the tens spot, and one 10 sider for the ones spot for instance a roll of 7 on the "tens" die and a roll of 3 on the "ones" die would be 73 _________________ "Science is the foot that kicks magic square in the nutsack" Scratch Fury, Destroyer of Worlds

| Thanks for that SEAMUS! Its a little less confusing now LOL, I never though you wouldn't know the term "chooks" but yeah, that's our slang for them. "Chickens" sometimes don't sound aussie enough Haha! _________________ Follow me into the Darkness; Let me hear you scream |

| Well, Mom's gone and she had a very pleasant and relaxing time while she was here. We even caught bass and crappies out of the little lake by Dad's lakehouse. She hated saying goodbye, as usual. Also, our chickens and the henhouse! That's what you really tuned in for, right? In the beginning, there was a little cage in our living room. It started off with three chicks (two Production Reds and one Black Minorca), but they all died from poor heating and coccidiosis. One heat lamp later, there were two New Hampshire Red chicks in the cage. One week later, they were joined by three Gold Sex Links and one Black Sex Link. And as the chicks grew and grew, the cage got more and more crowded. And the living room got stinkier. We needed to build an outdoor henhouse for our future egg-layers. A collection of sheet metal, scrap lumber, chicken wire and roosting boxes was quickly amassed. Soonafter, we had our henhouse, partly incorporated into the garage and a fence in our back yard. The henhouse, front exterior. The henhouse, rear exterior. The chicken run. The gap which provides ventilation, with chicken wire to keep raccoons and opossums out. We'll be planking over the gap in time for next winter, of course. Food, water and other supplies (such as water supplements and nesting material). Extra perches. The cage, acting as a nursery for future generations of chicks. We'll run wiring for the heat lamp out here before we get any more chicks. The roosting boxes. The hens are starting to spend more time in their nests at night, which should help once they hit puberty and start laying eggs.... KNOW YOUR CHICKEN BREEDS! A Black Sex Link (a good egg-laying breed. This hen is Blackie, more formally known as Afro Chicken II. The first Afro Chicken was the Black Minorca from the first generation. Blackie is also the noisiest and most high-strung hen of the bunch, and we were quite happy to move her outside as soon as we could.) A Gold Sex Link (another good laying breed. This chicken is Blondie. She's pretty skittish too, and her coloration is the lightest and fairest of the bunch. The other two Gold Sex Links are Runty (the smallest of the six) and Norma (the Gold Sex Link who's neither the fairest nor the smallest).) A New Hampshire Red (a great laying breed. New Hampshire Reds and Rhode Island Reds--both good laying breeds--can be crossbred to make Production Reds, who are some of the best egglayers out there. I can't tell the two Reds apart (aside from one having a few traces of black in her tail feathers), so I just call them both the New Hampshire Twins. They both used to bully Blackie when I introduced all the Sex Links, so clearly they were both a couple of racists. The six all get along together now, especially when they figure out which chicken I'm coming after so the other five can form a protective wall around her.... ) And those are my chickens and their home. Also, I'm back!

| *Without warning, Karnoz rounds the corner and bumps into a five-ton, 30 HD Rhode Island Red rooster with a cruel beak, a low and droning growl and pure, carnivorous malice in his big, golden eyes. Roll for initiative.* |
