I play my fringers, mostly. Though I'm sure the Rebellion and the Empire have their own little perks, it's nice to be able to farm critters on three lowbie planets instead of just two. (You can take your Rebel to Coruscant--or your Imperial to Yavin 4--but don't expect to last very long; those Rebel soldiers and Stormtroopers have ears like bats, I'm told.)

And isn't it kind of confusing that "Fringer" is the name for both a faction and a Class? Eh, the Fringer class sucks anyway. It's basically a Druid without the spells and the shapeshifting. Fringers seem to get more Skill Points than Druids do (and it's neat seeing the animal companions converted to Star Wars animals like bantha calves and womp rats), but that's it for the good news. At least the Healers (converted Clerics) and Tech Specialists (converted Wizards) get some neat spell-like abilities and summons to substitute for the lack of actual spells.

Also, I just got back in from an entire day of chopping wood, planting flowers, cleaning up the yard, repairing the chicken gate and a bunch of other things that I've been putting off for weeks. I still have to find the leak in the hot tub, but I can do that tomorrow. So...I require fun. Who's around at this hour? Smile

Just head west out of Mos Espa and turn north into Beggar's Canyon. They're all over the place. The ones with the gaderfii sticks are worth more XP than the ones with blaster rifles, and the gaderfii Tusken don't have ranged attacks. So feel free to run-and-gun them to death whenever you find them. Wink

Some of the armor options are a little bit buggy. What sort of armor is it?

Oh, yeah...that biosuit whatever thing. My Rodian Fringer has it too. It kind of sucks. Razz

I usually have to steal that Swoop from the backroom of the Mos Espa shop where the Rodian merchant sells the spaceship parts. It does sweet damage and you get the benefits of Haste while you're riding it. It's great for hit-and-runs on Tuskens. Smile

Just be careful not to die while you're on the damned thing, or it vanishes and you have to wait for the next server reset before you can yoink another Swoop. The vehicles you actually have to buy are better, since you get a key that will spawn a new Swoop (or Landspeeder, or Scout Bike) if you lose the old one.

So were the trident and the cart wheel. And the boat oar, the tin hairpin and those thrice-damned dwarven bagpipes. Very Happy

Oh, soloing's a huge pain when you're starting out. Are you online now? I'll be logging on in a bit, once I've had something to eat. Imperialside, I have a Stormtrooper/Soldier and a Rodian Scout who are having trouble with those thugs too. I also have a Wookiee Berserker dealing with those crystal snakes and howlers Rebelside, and of course I have my usual fringers. Smile

Also, fringers get it a little easier as far as early leveling because you can pick fights with banthas and womp rats for easier XP (since womp rats and banthas will actually run away now and then, and banthas typically fight in Parry Mode for some reason).

Hmm... let's see. It was food. So nothing exciting.

But I'm going to the mall tomorrow.

(gosh... when did it get to the stage where you had to plan a week ahead just to go shopping?)

Oh yeah, Admin noobishness here, but how in heck did you do the spoiler thingy? (in the forum)

i belive it's (spoil) (/spoil) or (spoiler) (/spoiler)

you can usually check the syntax by "quote" ing a post that has the code in it

Let's see...which characters do I have in play at the moment?

Breck Blackornn (Human/Imperial/Soldier/Stormtrooper)
Hraarloka (Wookiee/Imperial/Healer/Stormtrooper (ick, but he'll be a Sith someday....))
Kessa Beneseph (Human/Rebel/Teräs Käsi/Commoner)
Ruskooro (Rodian/Fringer/Tech Spec/Spacer)
Zaniya Lir'oolsi (Twi'lek/Fringer/Soldier/Trader)

So yeah, I have a few characters floating around. Wink

Ah, the halcyon days of youth. I remember jumping on the bus to go to shopping malls and the airport--just on a whim--back in my teenager years. Life at home sucked, so I tried not to stick around much. And before the airport shut down their video arcade, I was beating Black Tiger in 45 minutes on one quarter.

Loved that game. Cool

1) Highlight the text that you want to Spoilerize. If you don't know how to highlight text, either hold Left Click and drag the mouse cursor over whatever you want to highlight, or hold down Shift and use the arrow keys to do the same thing.

2) Click the Spoiler button up there, the one between the Strike and Host an Image buttons.

You're done. Smile

Hmmmm, never even knew there was a spoiler button... but now that you point it out, I remember there always being one.

Huh, the things you learn.....

i have a few (including a wookie sotrmtrooper as well.. gosh we're original.. picking the alien race in the world that is as humanocentric as it can get.)

my wookie was an officer though, whose name i conveniently forget. I need to head back to yavin with my tech spec and empty his bank account to pick up a headhunter on Geonosis... he's a lousy enough shot as it is, and his spider droid is almost as bad. I hope they include upgrading pets in the future, or at least giving you the ability to tinker with their hardware.

i want a mobile micro missile platform Smile
