The responses are deafening. o_O
Also, Series 2 is out! Let's see...we have a new Tyrion, a new Jon, a new Jaime and a new Daenarys (aww, she looks so sad!). There's no new Rhaegar, but we do have a new Viserion and two new Drogons (that filthy gloryhound...). And ooh, new guys! We finally get Sansa Stark, both Clegane brothers, Brienne of Tarth, Petyr Baelish, Oberyn Martell, Grey Worm, a random wight and two versions of Hodor, one normal version and one Brandon-hijacking-his-brain version.
I swear, if Bran keeps worging into Hodor and screwing up his mind and making him kill people when Hodor doesn't want to, Hodor's eventually going to snap and hurl Bran off a cliff or something, mark my words....
Anyway, Walmart's not selling Series 2, so I need to find someone who does. Because I really, really want a Sandor Clegane to go with my latest mini, daggit.
(Also, there's an In Memoriam series featuring grayed-out versions of several GoT characters who have already met their demises. Even the dire wolves Lady and Grey Wind are represented here, along with such returning hits as Dead Drogo, Dead Ned, Dead Robb and Dead Joffrey. Tywin and Renly are in there too. So yes, we can finally get our hands on the mighty Tywin Lannister, but it's not the same because he's already frickin' dead. And where are Ros and Catelyn Stark, daggit? )

HOA did you see last night's episode of Game of Thrones where that dude and dudette died? Yep people died this week big shocker. I will say that one of the deaths last night was probably the least violent of all the deaths so far.
I know that you are reading this GD and if you don't start posting more often HOA and I will start discussing stuff about A Song of Ice and Fire more openly. Take that!!

The silver lining to my sucky present job at Sears: I work in a shopping mall. I love shopping malls. And this particular shopping mall has a Hot Topic store, where they're selling those Series 2 Funko Mystery Minis at a bargain: Buy one and get one at 50% off, or buy three and get the fourth one for free. Naturally, I've bought a bunch of them, and I've even had a bit of fun with them.

And because it sounds too sweet for words, someone combined the epicness of the Game of Thrones theme with the epicness of the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim theme. Enjoy!
And if that's too peppy for you, try the Western version:

One of the few nice things about working at that godforsaken Sears was its location in the Town East Mall, not too far from a Hot Topic store. Naturally, I took the opportunity to buy a bunch of Second Edition Game of Thrones Mystery Minis, with several new faces appearing in the preceding comic thingie. Unfortunately, I still don't have Sandor Clegane, Ser Gregor Clegane, Lord Petyr Baelish or Queen (of sorts) Daenerys Targaryen; instead, I got some duplicates that I don't really need. Want 'em?
And now that I have pretty much everyone's mailing addresses, the first one of y'all to post "Gimme your Game of Thrones stuff!" in here gets Lot 1: 1 Brienne of Tarth, 1 Jon Snow and 1 Prince Oberyn Martell, mailed directly to his or her door in time for everyone's favorite Winter Solstice holiday (or Summer Solstice, for those of us who live south of the Equator).
The second person to post "Gimme your Game of Thrones stuff!" in here gets Lot 2: 1 Brienne of Tarth with a slightly wonky left foot, and 1 Jon Snow with a slightly bendy Longclaw blade. Because you're slow and you suck, that's why.
There is no Lot 3, so you'd better hurry! Now let me hear it, people!

Damn.
Hodor aka. Walder, aka. Wylis 6 August 1996 (when A Game of Thrones was published) - 22 May 2016 (when The Door was broadcast) He held the door.
On a jollier note, I revisited Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara, the sequel to Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom, which a few of us here got to play at that Aladdin's Castle in the Holiday Village Mall. (By the way, is that arcade still there, Drak?)
And I got to thinking: If you had four friends and a Dungeon Master, and you and your friends had to create a five-adventurer party out of Game of Thrones characters, which five characters would you like to see in a D&D party?
Barbarian: Tormund Giantsbane Fighter: Sandor Clegane Ranger or Fighter/Ranger: Jon Snow (with Ghost the dire wolf as his animal companion) Cleric: Thoros of Myr Rogue: Arya Stark (and don't forget the Blind Fighting and Weapon Finesse feats!)
There's my party. Yeah, there's bound to be some social chafing among the characters, but rare is the party which doesn't have any drama.

Sure! Why not? One Resurrection spell (courtesy of the Lord of Light), and maybe a Potion of Longevity or two, and they're fine!
(Also, Aabaco's locked the /tmp subdirectory on my website for some reason; hence, the missing pics up there. I'm about this close to changing website providers after...what, 13 years or so? Aabaco really turned Yahoo! web hosting to crap. Any suggestions?)
